View Full Version : removing swirls from interior plastic?

My altima has faux wood paneling on the center console. The previous owner must of dusted with a stiff wash cloth cause it looks like ass. Even on the crome gear shift lever is swirled.
This is what it looks like new. Ill take a picture of mine tomorrow to compare. Im pretty sure the plastic is cleared as it looks to be peeling on my window control panel since I rest my hand on it. Think its possible to polish it out like paint to look like the new picture?

Ughh. Of course our camera is dead. Ill charge it and then take some pictures.

Thanks for the link Mike. I give it a read through.

The lighting isnt at the right angle yet for me to get a good picture of the swirls. This pic is the best I could do right now. You can see the swirls on the shift lever panel and a few little scratches on the wood. The wood is just as bad as the shift lever.
