Fit and TL detailed this weekend.

Last Saturday I was working on a Fit. It was foamed, wash, clayed, waxed. Also helped out with some scratches. Vacuum inside and hit everything with APC. Cleaned outside with Invisible glass repel, and inside with regular Invisible glass. Lastly I dressed the tires. Took about 5 hours.

Rushed right in and forgot to take before pics. But it was last clayed about 6 months ago so the car had a lot of contaminant on paint.

Here a TL I did last Sunday. I started early around 9:30 hoping to finish it before it get dark. I did a foam wash, two bucket, clay, wax, cleaned outside window with Invisible glass repel, inside with Invisible glass. I also wet sanded a few scratches and compounded. Vacuumed everything inside and brushed out any dust on dashboard, cleaned everything inside with apc. Clean all wheels/tires/wells. Then finish it off with tire dressing.

Nice work Slick! Notice your wearing a back brace, you have a bad back? Or just trying not to get one?! lol. I have a bad back and I do have a brace that I'm suppose to wear. But I find it extremely annoying when I'm trying to detail.

My back is fine for now. :) But you should wear one because detailing put a lot of strain on your back when your working on the lower panel. That why I also got a creeper chair. Couple months ago I was detailing my own car and I woke up with back pain. After these past 2 jobs I had no problem with my back.

Your health is #1 and should take care of it or else you won't be able to make that $$$.

Yeah I know I should wear it. It's a pain in the butt though. What I do instead is make sure I take breaks every hour or so and do all my back stretches. Has seemed to work so far and I don't typically have any back pain the next day or anything. I do wear the brace when I'm correcting paint though. Just cause it's a lot more strain sitting in one position trying to control a polisher.

Cars look good. Looks like you were able to get your foam cannon to work better. I remember it giving you some trouble a few weeks ago.

I'm using Hyper wash from Meguiars. It seems to stick to the car a lot better. How do you make it shoot out like a vertical line I seen in some videos? Its just shooting out like a hose.

I did notice that in your pics. What type of foam cannon do you have? I picked up a foam lance (same thing) on ebay and it works awesome. I sometimes have to mess with the dial to get the right mixture and then the actual nozzle adjusts to make it either a stream or a fan. The fan allows the mixture to really stick to the paint.

My foam cannon has a dial on the top for the mixture. Then the actual nozzle where the foam/water mixture comes out turns to create a fan or stream. Similar to a pressure washer sprayer. That's how mine works at least.

Thanks!! When I was working on the TL I had 2-3 people stop by and took my number down. The TL guy said his boss got 2-3 benz that wants detail work done also.
