Hi all,

I am planning to buy some yellow 5.5 inch pads for a 7424xp, should I get the meguiars or lake country ccs? are they similiar and which do you prefer?

I am planning to use meguiars 105/205 to remove some scratches on a 240sx.

thanks.

Make sure you order the correct backing plate for use with 5 1/2" pads.

5" Lake Country Backing Plate

lake country 5 inch backing plate, 5 inch backin plate, 5 inch hook and loop backing plate (http://www.autogeek.net/lc43125.html)

5 1/2" Lake Country Flat Pads

Lake Country 5 1/2 x 7/8 inch Beveled Edge Pads 6 Pack, foam pad kit, build a kit, buffing pads, curved edge pads (http://www.autogeek.net/lake-country-beveled-pad-kit.html)

Just be careful man; those yellow pads will remove a lot, very quickly.

Personally, I like the LC 5.5 flat pads and the LC HT pads for my PC. But answering your question, I would prefer the CCS over the Megs. Using a yellow pad with 105 can be pretty aggressive, How bad is the surface you are working on? You may want to consider an orange pad. Either way you will need to finish down with a different pad.

I like them, they are self centering as well. I have used the white and blue pads and would compare them to Lake country pads
