I have a PC7424 and my supply of 7" LCVC pads are getting worn pretty thin. I don't see them for sale anymore and I definately need to stock up an a few new ones. The problem is that like with polishes, there are just too many to chose from.

I primarily detail my own cars, but I do occasionally detail other cars for people, so I do need something durable. Any suggestions?

I forgot to ask, should I get 6.5" pads or 8" pads since these seem to be the most popular sizes?

For your PC7424 you want to use a smaller pad like a 5.5". The PC just doesn't have enough power to keep the bigger pads rotating.

I currently use these Lake Country 5.5 Inch CCS Pads 6 Pack - Your Choice! (http://www.autogeek.net/lake-country-ccs-pack1.html). I know a lot of people prefer the hydro-tech pads over the regular LC CCS pads. But I have an over abundance of LC CCS pads, so I've yet to try out the hydros. Here's the link to those. Lake Country Hydro-Tech 5.5 x 1.25 Inch Foam Pads, hydrotech foam buffing pads, Lake Country dual action foam pads (http://www.autogeek.net/hydrotech-da-pads-3pack.html)

What backplate do you currently have?

I think it's a 6" but I bought it so long ago that I'll have to go out and measure it. And wouldn't you know it, I can't find my ruler...darn kids ;)
