I got to use it the first time today and the results are amazing at removing tar and tough road grime, but I'm curious as to how safe it really is for the paint?

Thanks

Don't let it dry on the paint and you have nothing to worry about. Best all purpose cleaner ever!

I agree. It has worked where no others have and it doesnt seem to be too toxic

x2.

if you find you need it to dwell on paint for some reason, keep a misting bottle around with water, and mist as needed to keep it from totally drying on the paint. or if your hose nozzle has a misting feature, that works too.

i've found 10:1 doesn't really have this issue, but i'd still be careful.

i let it dry once on a silver '01 f360, as i had pre-treated the front fascia and front of the side mirrors dude to bugs, etc. i believe i used 3:1 instead of 10:1.

it ran down the side of the car from the mirrors, and left strange white streaks. same thing with the front bumper. the streaks didn't budge at all when i washed the car, however, i was correcting the thing anyway and it came off no problem when polishing. it seems like it either leaves a really hard film on the clear where it drips/runs, or slightly scars it. regardless, nothing to worry about - OPC is very safe, just don't let it dry on paint or you'll have to rub it out a little bit.

I guess one can claim that it's not paint safe if it has the possibility to cause damage no matter what. So, to clarify, if used correctly, it's paint safe.

It will only haze the paint requiring polishing or AIO to fix if left to dry or applied to a hot surface. Like Mark mentioned, it's paint safe when used per directions.

I really like what I hear about OPC, I'm going to get some once the weather is good enough over here to start playing with some cars again.
