Cut the Flex 3401 BP down to 4 7/8" for 5.5" pads. I think it makes more sense than the 4 3/8" backing plate now being offered.

Mark, any machine shop around you should be able to do this for a fairly cheap rate. I would assume it would cost as much as the new bp, but you would be able to get it in the exact size you want.

Thanks. I found a machine shop and I'm having it cut right to the edge of plastic plate(5 1/8"). I see no need to cut it past that.

Thanks Sean, but I'm having it cut at a machine shop as we speak. :dblthumb2:

No reason to send it out and have it cut you can use an sheet rock knife or an X acto Knife just cut it slow . Mark just wondering what they are charging you to cut the BP .
