How to Shake my Bottles

I purchased some Swirl and Haze Compound and some light cutting compound. I used them for one vehicle but when i was going to use it again a week later it turned from solid to a watery liquid. I tried shaking it up but i cant seem to get it solid anymore. Should i buy another two bottles??? Maybe someone might have an idea of what happen. Any suggestion will be helpful.

Do you store them in a cold temp? Or a very high temp? Either one could cause it to either freeze or separate. But it's strange that when you shake them they don't go back to their normal state. Try sticking the bottles in some hot water for a minute or 2 and then shake them up.

Depending on how old they are you may want to try contacting the supplier you got them from or the manufacturer. It certainly doesn't sound normal to me. I've had some polishes for years and never had them get to the point where I can't get them back to normal consistency.

i will try the water method u suggested and see if that works. If not i will have to go to the company and see what they say. the bottles are only five months old so maybe there is something wrong. Thanks for the answer

You can shake it untill your arm falls off and it won't ever become solid form again. IMO you need to ditch this stuff and take it as a lesson learned. I accidentally left a fresh gallon of 105 out Winter before last and had to chunk it

Hmmm, thats in intresting contraption. I wish I would've tried that as I was literally crying like a baby as the trash truck took off with my $75 :cry:

Is the problem that the thicker part of the separated product is stuck in the bottom of the bottle? If so, lay the bottle on it's side for a day so all the thick stuff settles along the side of the bottle. From there it's much easier for it to loosen up and redistribute when you shake it. :xyxthumbs:

Thats a neat little contraption. I see its also listed in a gallon/quart size.

I got a "Mix Kwik" attachment for a sawsall. Use it mostly for shaking paint cans, but have used it with seperatd compounds and polishes. With seperatd Poli-Seal I found a cap of Naptha added made it go back to normal (hot water helps speed up the process). Make sure the container is secure, otherwise polish everywhere.

Drop one or two stainless steel ball bearings or stainless steel nuts in the bottle and then shake--makes mixing any of your polishes or sealants a much easier task.

I have heard several people say they have had great success with this. Going to give it a try as well. :dblthumb2:
