I got mine in on Tuesday. I have been able to play around with it a bit and it looks very promising. I'll do a review when I have a little time

Will you not get optimal results if you dont use the Meguiar's backing plate with this system?

i got mine yesterday as well. I probably wont get to use it for atleast a few more weeks as the weather doesnt look like its shaping up to be any good. Was everyone else pads loose? I got my box and a regular envelope and the envelope had a finishing and a cutting pad..At first I was like sweet. they hooked me up with an extra of each pad. but when I opened the box it had the other cutting and finishing pad with my cobra drying towel and the MF compound and finishing wax.

Yes, my pads were loose.

Yeah I'm confused by the lack of packaging for the 5" and 6" pads. Only my 3" finishing pads were in Meguiar's packaging.

They appeared to be shipped loose from meguiars. When I got mine they were in boxes on the shelves. None of them had packages.

And yet according to Stoops, they were waiting to release the product because they were waiting on the packaging to be produced.

Meguiar's usually has a bulk packaging option for certain items. For example, I know there was a M9910B, which was a twenty pack of Ultimate Wipes. There is also a W8207B, which was a bulk pad option.

I'm sure this was the case here, as many testers received fully packaged pads.

The M105 and M205 were formulated to be used in body shops for the needs of working on fresh paint.

The D300 and D301 were formulated to be used in the production detailing world on cured paint using dual action polishers.

Two different systems, each with a specific target audience in mind but in "our world" there's lots of crossover.

I have the m105 and UC, I always first start out with the UC,easier to work with and the results are very close.
If the finish is in bad shape I'll use the m105, a little more cut but not by much.
It's just so darn easy to wipe off the UC.
On some paints I'll use the v34, another product but not as much cut as I'd like.
