My wife has an 06 fusion, the interior has some really glossy black trim & unfortunately the previous owner never heard of microfibre (or its just that touchy) and I am not sure what to detail it with, in the sunlight it appears very streaky and tonnes of very minor but visible scratches, would plastX or something of the sort work to clean this up, followed with a basic plastic protectant? The attached photo shows the glossy trim I am talking about in the green circles.

You could use like plastx or even a mild polish to remove some of the scratches. You could protect it with a sealant if you want

PlastX and a foam applicator will do some good. You could even step it up to Meg's Ultimate if the PlastX doesn't cut it enough.

Once polished you can wax or seal it with any paint product.

I've ran into one onetime that was super foggy - tossed a finishing polish on it and it turned out great - hope this helps - good luck man!
