that said,

Optimum Power Clean is great because you can vary the strength for different uses. full-strength, 1:1 or 3:1 for wheels/wells, 5:1-10:1 for interior stuff, etc. If you were to bottle half of a gallon at full strength, and the other half at 3:1, you'd have 3 GALLONS of cleaner for whatever it is for the price of a gallon of Power Clean, $30 or something.

P21s is great - pretty powerful and dwells well because it is a gel, but expensive.

Duragloss wheel cleaner is a decent acidic cleaner, but really there isn't a need in my eyes.

if you are looking for something to spray on and just hose off...i can't recommend anything because that would mean it's most likely acidic OR most likely VERY expensive (like Sonax)

I like Griot's Garage, because it's safe, and effective enough to use to clean your wheels regularly, plus it has a pleasant smell. It's a pretty mild cleaner, so it won't remove harsh stuff, but I trust it on everything.

If the wheels have not been neglected you will be fine with your car wash soap and some good brushes like the Daytona and a boars hair for the face of the wheel.

If they have baked on dust, P21 is a good safe all wheel cleaner with some serious cleaning power at a reasonable price.

If the wheels are really trashed you may want to consider the Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner
