Yes you heard it right Autogeek.net is going to be moving very fast on the track now.... with our mascot Ivan stuck to the door! Autogeek.net has joined forces with Bruno Massel Racing Team on and off the track.

Bruno and his official race car will also be joining us this year at Detail Fest. Get a chance to see the car up-close and meet Bruno Massel, the man behind the helmet.

A prototype for the new Autogeek.net design for Bruno's car.

A little bio on Bruno for those of you who are not familiar with his work on and off the race track!

Since graduating from York High School in the Chicago suburb of Elmhurst, IL in which he was born and raised, Bruno Massel has kept the “pedal to the metal” in more ways than one. Whether its “walking on” to the University of Iowa football team or sitting down at Depaul University’s law school Bruno has never shied away from a challenge.

After graduating with honors from Iowa with a BBA, Bruno was discovered by a Chicago area modeling agent and chose to put his career in law on hold. A meeting with famed photographer Bruce Webber and the Ralph Lauren Underwear campaign that followed reaffirmed Bruno’s choice to explore the fashion industry and pass on the three piece suit and briefcase. While at home between photo shoots Bruno began tinkering in the family business of Drag Racing. In his first full season on the IHRA National tour, Bruno wheeled his six-second two-hundred mile an hour Top Dragster within two rounds of winning the National Championship. While establishing himself as a perennial championship contender on the track, Bruno continued to keep active in the modeling industry with a client list that includes some of the most significant names in fashion.

Bruno began to switch gears in 2001, as he tried his hand behind the camera as a television commentator for the IHRA racing series on TNN and SPEED. His knowledge of the motorsports industry and presence in front of the lens has lead to a fulltime career as an on camera host covering various disciplines of racing and special events in the automotive industry. He currently is entering his third season as co-host of SPEED’s half hour weekly show “TruckU.” Bruno took on his latest challenge recently in creating his own half hour pilot “Behind the Helmet” which is currently being viewed by networks for release in 2011.

Behind the wheel, Bruno is still very active as he won it all in 2009! With his 1500Hp Turbocharged Chevy Cobalt, Bruno won the NHRA Drag Racing World Championship in 2009. Along the way he picked up both "Diver of the Year" and Divisional Championships for the second straight year, an All-Stars title, as well as reset his own national record while collecting the highest championship point total in the history of the category in which he competes.

So will we start getting 200+ mph durability test results?

Yes I guess we need to put Liquid Glass Legend on it!

PTFE, also known as Teflon, gives Liquid Glass Legend the ability to repel dirt and grime. The super slick finish feels like glass to the touch and it reduces drag on vehicles. In fact, Liquid Glass Legend increases the top end speed on racing cars, planes, and boats!

Time to take it to PBIR and let the race fans drive it :)

This is great. I always enjoy watching Bruno on the TV. Thanks for the bio. I had no idea Bruno was a male model at one time.

Maybe Bruno will become a member of the AGO and give us some inside scoop on his race weekends. Maybe some in the pit photos that the average Ed doesn't get to see on TV.

Good job AG.

Any chance you guys will be here in Indy for the nationals labor day weekend?

I can host a pre and post race party. I live about 2-3 miles from the track :)
