Im looking to add an AIO to my arsenal for daily driver cars where the owners dont want to spend alot of money. Ive read good things about d151, xmt360, and poliseal. Im looking for a onestepper that I can use with my makita rotary that will remove defects, polish out nicely, and protect. I was leaning toward d151, but I read on another board that it can leave holograms when the fillers are washed away, any one have any experiance with this? Which product removes defects better? Thanks in advance!!

Personally I'd go with the D151 or the Poliseal. D151 will remove more defects but Poliseal and XMT will be easier to work with.

I would say D151 is the most powerful of the bunch, and finishes out quite nicely.

On one half of my hood (Dark Blue metallic GM paint) I used D151, and the other I multi-stepped M83, M80, M07, and Gold Class wax. There was little to no discernible difference in looks or protection. It's good stuff!

If I use d151 with a rotary and compressor white pad can it leave holograms?

I have been reaching for Dodo Need for Speed more and more!! Its a bit expensive compared to other products but it has a good cut and finishes very nicely!

I have no experience with D151 specifically, yet (have had great results with XMT 360 and PB's PwS though) but of course it's possible to leave holograms with D151 and a Rotary. Just use the softest pad that gets the job done, keep it clean, fully work the product and lighten up the pressure on the last section pass. Oh, and report back with your results! :xyxthumbs:

xmt works great on daily drivers and restores gloss. mike phillips just posted a thread with pictures. being easy to work with is a big plus.

poliseal and xmt dont have much cut really but great for daily drivers. i use pure polishes but for the inbetween when paint isnt that bad these are great.

Rotary and white pad with D151 on an Black Acura left noticeable holgrams, had to use a PC and black pad instead. I've been using Rotary and white pad on most other cars as a one stepper and using black pads if the condition of the paint is decent. Havent had to step up to an orange pad yet, but i'm thinking it will leave some decent holograms.

Ive had alot of success with XMT, havent tried the others yet though so cant compare them.

XMT is definitly easy to work with by as mentioned doesnt have much cut but will clean up some oxidation and minor swirls real well. XMT is also pretty pad dependent.

I like that d151 has more cut, but I'm worried about getting holograms, because I do of black cars. Xmt360 sounds good, but most the daily drivers I do Have pretty pad swirls. I'm not sure the xmt will have enough cut. I really want to get a aol one step for these cars, I'm now wondering if it wouldn't be better to use a pure polish and follow with a wax.

Anyone else have any experience with d151 and a rotary? Did you have problems with holograms?
