I'm looking to get a good shampoo with an added wax agent . I have used one in the past (it was a friends) and was amazed at the results. I cant recall the brand. I read a recent post here today and it re-sparked my interest in this 2 in one item.

So what have you tried and liked?

I just got Finish Kare's version of their wash & wax, I'll follow-up with this post and let you know what I think. Currently, I use FK 118 regular carwash... a while back some one did a writeup on poorboys Wash/wax.

Would DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss fit this bill?

DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss, no rinse car wash, concentrated no rinse wash, quick detail spray, waterless wash (http://www.autogeek.net/dp-rinseless-four-in-one.html)

I understand a Wash&wax AIO product will be, well, watered down. But it does seem to be on par with the spray waxes/ quick detail.

I see you never tried them but based on the products chemical make up, would you see them as equals or close to it?

Works great helps boost your protection through the winter. Lots of suds and is nice and slick. We made it for us folks in the North that don't want to wax in the winter haha.

I have tried some wash and waxes and have never noticed any difference. Once I use up the rest of my current gallon of wash and wax I probably won't go back. Instead just use ONR and if I want to touch up the wax, just follow up with a spray wax afterwards. I DO notice a difference when I use a spray wax.

Looking forward to your review, include before after shots if you can. The car I have in mind is my own and it never gets really dirty as its in the garage most of the time. I'll strip the old wax in the spring and start over but by mid summer I'll prob just use a good spray or a wash/wax solution. Both seem to give great results.

I agree with the spray wax after you wash method..... but when pressed for time and can't do that I go with Dodo Sour Power. Much better than Megs Ultimate Wash and Wax and even after repeated use it won't have a film build up on your glass like other wash and waxes. Suds well and plenty of lubricity as well!

I'll do my best..I'll be applying it to my personal car as well, hopefully this weekend if the weather holds up.
