I am not even in the detailing buisness (YET) but I am addicted to detailing! I live on this site even though I don't post often. I have learned so much and I have been spending soooo much $$! I now have a huge investment in detailing supplies! Among everything else I have the PortaCable DA, the newest Flex DA and my new Makita rotary arrives tomorrow. I am getting ready to sign up for the January detailing classes and I am planning on attending the Detail Fest! I just recieved another order today from AG. THANK YOU AG FOR THE FREE GIFTS YOU SENT!!
I have been married for 33 years and she is not HAPPY!!! :buffing:

From personal experience I can attest; it's very easy to become addicted to this here. It sort of grabs a hold of you a little at a time and before you know it..BAM...you're a detailing junkie!

I have to admit though allot of it is not my fault. Meghan keeps posting special deals on products; 50% this, buy one get one free offers, Christmas specials from SANTA.... So you can see I'm sorta helpless. So I guess you might say this is Meghan's fault!

Definitely make sure your taking care of her car too! My gf just found out how much I spent on the new Flex PE14-2 rotatory and she said that her car is first one to get polished up! Fine by me! I can test my skills on her car first and get my technique down.

Always have to take care of your old (or young) lady! Especially once you start having a package arrive from AG every other day!

Maybe AG should add a spouse "sampler" order option to provide the spouse.

I like that idea! Maybe some flowers or chocolates! So, every time an AG package arrives you got something to give to your significant other! :xyxthumbs:

A lot of us here are simply hobbyist detailers as well. This crap is WAY to addicting. I am always wanting to try some new wax or sealant or QD or etc etc etc.

My fiancee just shakes her head. She understands now that I took her to a car show and she saw a 1963 Vette and said "Papi, why does that car look so new when it is so old?". I simply replied, "because they take car of it like I take care of my car." She always wondered why I was so worried about my car. Even explaining that it is one in a little over 300 Cobra verts that year painted in Mineral Grey did not help. Her seeing a car over 40 years old that looked new helped a LOT.

I can't even go to stores and get high quality stuff. I mean I can get the typical Megs, Mothers, Turtle Wax, Eagle One, etc that they sell at AutoZone, VIP, Walmart, but other than that I have to go online to get my good stuff!

And I've definitely wasted days and weeks just reading posts on here. I work at a computer all day so I'm constantly on here checking out different threads and reading different articles!

Jason,

You're starting to remind me of ME!!

I was in Walmart today and walked through the automotive "car care" section and can't believe people actually buy that stuff...................then I remembered I used too!!

Not all the stuff sold there is bad. Allot of the Meguiar's line is pretty good as well as the Mothers line but the products I have now are light years ahead of what's available there...

I feel you buddy. I probably have enough stuff to detail a small fleet of cars for a lifetime, but that doesn't stop me from buying more! Im the MAN
