How to remove Black Streaks on RVs?

For those of you that detail RVs & trailers, what do you find to work best on removing black streaks?:thankyousign: for your help! :buffing:

What type of streaks are they? Can you tell what caused them? Might get a more precise answer with that info. Maybe even some pics if you can.

I personally don't have any experience detailing trailers or RVs, but figured I'd ask that those questions to see if maybe I can help.

Any cleaner wax or AIO should take care of the black streaks caused by the rubber roof.

A high pressure washer usually takes of the black stuff I find on rv's but don't know if were talking about the same thing without pics

7-11 through the RV dealer works good along with a cleaner called Reliable. If you're waxing it, that should take it off as well.

The buses I sometimes clean up get some real bad black streaking from the black rubber window seals and from the roof never being cleaned. I use an alkaline based all purpose cleaner sprayed with a garden sprayer from the bottom to the top, then blast them clean with a pressure washer.

I section the bus off to maybe 8 foot areas at a time so the cleaner doesn't dwell for too long.

It is really important to spray the cleaner starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top because if you start at the top first the cleaner will run down the sides of the RV and will have more dwell time in the areas that it ran down and those areas will be cleaner than the rest of the RV and it looks very bad and is nearly impossible to correct without breaking out the compound and rotary. Nothing like giving away a free compounding.:doh:

Ahhhh the lovely black streaks. I just love enjoy cleaning those off of my dad's RV..... not. When we do clean them off though, he uses a high pressure chemical sprayer with a product called 4U diluted in it. I'm not sure if it strips the wax or not at his dilution but it brings the streaks off after using a long handled scrub brush. I don't care if it strips the wax though. It's not mine and I don't take care of it usually. It's mostly him that does the work on that giant even though every summer we have family waxing on the sucker using paint sealant.

This will definitely work. I have lots of personal experience with it.
