Working on a full paint correction for my sister as a Christmas gift. (Full write up to come) The trunk was in pretty rough shape so I decided to wetsand with 2000 grit and test out surbuff pads and M105 on my PCXP. I was pretty impressed with the results and wanted to share.

Just a note...alot of these were too deep to fix with 2000 grit and becuase the car is a daily driver, there was no reason to risk taking more clearcoat than necessary.

Also included a shot of the hood, 50/50, after M105 surbuff and M205 white CCS. ( no wetsanding on the hood)

Surbuff only use on extreme swirled out cars?

Working on darker colors is allot more satisfying than lighter colors because the improvement is so much more dramatic. From what you've done so far it looks like two different cars! :props:

Nice work. When using small, thin pads on both the GG and the PCXP they pretty much work like a safe version of a rotary buffer, that is you can't get the pad to stop rotating without pushing harder or pushing harder on an edge than a sane person would do.

If you get iffy about machine compounding the edges to remove the sanding marks, simply doe what I call "Edging" by hand using the M105 and a quality cotton or microfiber applicator pad.
