I see APC (megs) talked about alot and others so I have decided I need a cleaner for wheels, engine, around emblems and the like that can hopefully be used inside as well. APC only talks about interior stuff I know there is some Opti something and others. my brain is on overload tryig to track each one down so I wonder if you guys can post up what you use, not just the acronym but the actual name so I can make a call and get my cart done to spend more money here before the wife finds out.:props:

Optimum has a new product that supposedly can be used everywhere from inside to outside. I am eagerly awaiting its use.

Optimum Opti Clean Cleaner & Protectant, Opticlean all purpose cleaner protectant (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-opti-clean-cleaner.html)

I had used Poorboy's World All Purpose Cleaner and Degreaser for all the uses that you mention and more but have since gone to something cheaper. PB APC&D is a very nice, very effective product but for the price of it I can buy 5 gallons of what I use now. There are days however that I wish I had the Poorboy's Product instead.

When diluted properly OPC-Optimum Powerclean can be used both inside and out as well.

How about some cleaners for everything including the paint!

For something stronger I will second the Optimum Powerclean.

Personally I would get the Ultima Interior cleaner for interiors. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/31246-review-ultima-interior-shampoo-gel.html I like!

How does Meg APC+ vs Shoprite APC? Is there huge difference? I had couple extra Shoprite APC and it seems to do a good job cleaning my pads and wheels.

Brand name vs no brand any advantages?

Greetings. Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner Plus (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-all-purpose-cleaner-plus-d103.html) can be used on nearly every surface. They have different dilution ratios for different tasks. DP offers Total Interior Cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/dp340.html) and Cleanse-All Exterior Cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/dp320.html) but I haven't used those products yet. P21S Total Auto Wash (http://www.autogeek.net/p2totautwas.html) is an excellent APC as well. I have recently switched to Optimum Power Clean (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-power-clean-apc.html) for all exterior cleaning. You can dilute this product down 3:1 for interior work, but I haven't tried this method on interiors. My current interior cleaner of choice is 1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium (http://www.autogeek.net/1z-einzett-cockpit-premium.html). I plan to test Optimum Power Clean (OPC) on interior panels within the next 2 weeks. I do have Optimum Opti-Clean (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-opti-clean-cleaner.html) but haven't used it either. Good luck!

Just be careful when using this product. With most APC's I wouldn't use any stronger than 4:1 until I knew more about the product. I have 1/2 - 3/4 gallon of Zep Citrus that I use occasionally on tires or wheel wells. Since picking up Optimum Power Clean I haven't used Zep much to be honest.

Richard, have you used OPC to strip LSPs and get the paint squeeky clean prior to claying and polishing, and if so how does it compare to P21S TAW for this?

I'm still experimenting with different ratios, but I was able to strip whatever LSP the dealership had on the Regal with a 3:1 ratio. I have successfully cleaned a couple engines, all doorjambs, and wheels at the same ratio. Something interesting to note: when I was cleaning the engine (OPC 3:1) on a recent Volvo XC 90, plenty of overspray ran down the fenders and the Duragloss combo appeared to not be affected. When I rinsed off the panels, the water sheating was exactly like the rest of the vehicle. I did re-apply DG 105 to the front as a precaution.

Hey Flash!

I have never used OPC, but I am curious as to why you don't like it for paint?

FWIW, I have 3 gallons of Meg's APC+ sitting in my supply cabinet. I'll let you figure out what I suggest. :D
