At the moment I only need this for ONR (2 capfuls of the 32oz size is about 1 oz, I think), but I also just ordered the larger size ONR and I think the cap is different. In addition, I may use regular Optimum Car Wash at some point and need to measure that as well.

I was thinking of just using an old shot glass, but wasn't really sure if that's exactly an ounce.

So just wondering what everyone uses.

Thanks!

2 oz is a quarter cup--Found that out yesterday so I could measure 2 oz for my rinsless wash!

Thanks. I just read than an average shot glass is 1.5 ounces, so I could just fill it 2/3 of the way...

Ah, these are cheap and disposable: Amazon.com: [Itm] Plastic, 1 oz. [Acsry To]: MEDICINE CUP,1 OZ, PLASTIC, 100/PACK: Home & Garden (http://www.amazon.com/Itm-Plastic-oz-Acsry-MEDICINE/dp/B000IFBFXI/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1292357430&sr=1-1)

I just refilled my 32oz bottle from the gallon jug so I could still use the 1/2oz.cap

Yeah, I probably should have thought of that :)

Was also figuring though that if/when I use other products it would be a good idea to have something small laying around that can quickly measure an ounce or 2...

If it was plastic and not glass this would be great: Amazon.com: Anchor Hocking Measuring Glass - 5 oz: Home & Garden (http://www.amazon.com/Anchor-Hocking-Measuring-Glass/dp/B001QYAGO4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1292357673&sr=1-4)

Go to your medicine cabinet and steal the plastic cap off of a liquid medicine

I bought these same (if not very similar) glasses at Meijer for like $1/each. They measure up to 4oz. in 1oz. increments.

The medicine cap sounds like a great idea. I have heard that using the clear measuring cups that come with the large laundry bottle are good also for measuring car wash.

I used to use small baby milk bottles because they have large openings and easy to read ounce markings.

I now use a special squeeze bottle that is connected to a 1oz chamber on the top of the bottle. Loosen the cap on the 1oz chamber, squeeze the bottle until the chamber holds 1oz, then tip the bottle over to empty the chamber. I can't imagine it being any easier to measure out 1oz for ONR.

I bought it at a competing online detailing supply retailer, so I won't post the link unless it's okay.

x2 for getting a plastic measuring cup. They are shatterproof, chemically resistant and inexpensive.
