A friend of mine said it was a GTO as well........I guess I was way off.

The 1966 and 1967 Pontiac Lemans / GTO were the same platform.

Slight changes in the bodies cosmetic styling; hoods, insignias, were the main differences. The rear of the car, tail light section received the major exterior changes.
