View Full Version : well.... just ordered Flex..3401

ugh! only after 5 months of have PCXP... i finnaly ordered the Flex 3401!...been workin on alot of cars and i felt like the PCXP wasnt doin it for me anymore.. but i'll keep it around for the 3.5in BP and 4in pads. i know its all preference but.... what pads should i get? 6.5 in? 6 in? , 7.5in. and what kind of pads? gunna ask for it for x-mas 8) and can i use the 5.5 in pads with the flex BP? i know i'm not gunna have any room for error but i dont feel like throwing my 5.5in pads away!!

I think 6.5" are a good size for the 3401, as far as what kind, I will let someone else give you some info on that...

Edit: You will love the 3401, I got it the same day I ordered my PCXP and use them both for different things... 3401 for correction, PCXP for waxes and sealers.

Congrats on your purchase! It will speed things up a bit.I like the 6.5" flat pads and the 5.5" Lake Country Variable Contact pads that Poorboy's carries that are designed for the flex. below is a 5.5" orange CCS pad and a 5.5" red LC VC pad designed for the flex seemingly only sold by Poorboy's World.

Yes I know, I put the 2 pads side by side to show how much bigger the VC 5.5" pad is than the CCS pad. The VC pad protects the work from the backing plate where using the CCS would be asking for trouble.
