When using multiple layers of sealant, wax, etc. how do you know which product is actually adding another layer or is taking off the other layer(s).
For instance, I want to use Duragloss first, then put on Souveran or Natty's Blue after to get a wet look. But will the latter two remove Duragloss?

Souveran or Natty's (or most any carnauba) layered over a sealant (like DG)is very common and will give some benefit (assuming the base layer is cured= typically wait 12-24 hrs for the base sealant to cure). The question of layering must date back to the Romans..lol. I've seen threads that go on and on about it (=tired head). In short, products which do not contain cleaners can typically be layered. But, there is a point of diminishing return, so maybe 2-3 layers is about max....some will disagree.

YankeeFan,
One other point is that sealants can be layered with either more sealant or with a carnauba, but a carnauba layer should only be layered with more carnauba...otherwise there could be bonding/durability issues. The main thing is not to try and layer products which contain a cleaner/polish.

you can layer a pure sealant with another pure sealant, or move to a pure carnauba. You would not want to use a cleaner wax, or sealant with cleaners. You can also run into the point of diminishing returns where you no longer boost durability, but really just waste product.

Your offer of Duragloss covered by Nattys or Pinnacle is a nice choice.
