This if the first detailing job I done beside my car. My cousin came over because he wanted his car ready for winter.

Cleaned the inside of the car, it was pretty dirty. Spilled coffee, coke, and some nasty stuff inside the glove box.

Took about 6 hours for us to finish. He was really happy with the detailing. Hope you guys enjoy these pics. Thanks everyone for helping me out the past couple day. :dblthumb2:

So was this a wash & wax or did you actually perform paint correction? The car looks better, I'm just trying to understand what I'm looking at. Don't be afraid to write details of the work performed. :xyxthumbs: The only comment that I have is the wheel wells. Use some type of dressing in there when finished, it really ties things together. I like either 303 Aerospace Protectant (http://www.autogeek.net/16oz.html) or Meguiar's Hot Shine Aerosol (http://www.autogeek.net/mehotshtisp.html).

Yeah forgot to mention what I did lol.

1. Wash with Meguiar's gold class shampoo, 2 bucket with grit guard.
2. Clay the whole entire car, using water and soap for lubrication.
3. Used Swirl X to fix swirl marks. Swirl marks were still present when direct sun was on it. Need to use something stronger next time, maybe Ultimate Compound.
4. Then did two coats of NXT 2.
5. Vacuum inside the car and used APC
6. Dressed the tires twice.

and I did everything by hand, very tiring. I'm prob going get DA soon.:buffing: What would you guys suggest? I want to get into the detailing business, any help will be welcome.

now just find a way to buff off that wing and you'll have a great car. lol, i'm just kidding, looks really good for your first car other than your own.

Yes... give yourself a gift and get a DA. You'll really be able to do some good work.

Thanks guys!! Which buffer would you guys suggest? I really want to step it up and start detailing for other people, would Meguiar's product be good enough? Or I need to get the more expensive stuff?

get the porter cable 7424 xp. its a good price for a buffer that gets the job done and is easy on beginners.

What would you charge for something like that a full detail? I want to start detailing other people cars. How about Meguair's DA, I heard it is the kindest on car paint and that is the easy to use. But I have read that it cant fix all paint correction like others can.

I've never used the Meg's DA but I was new to machine polishing about year ago. Early this year I stepped up and got the PC XP and it's been a thing of beauty. I can do some good work with her. I want to try the Flex next. I'm not confident enough to try a rotary yet.
