They are indeed lucky. I have had the pleasure of 4 deer collisions and one elk. I have perfected a technigue to speed up as fast as I can prior to impact. My theory is that the speed will send the beast over the windshield and not through it. It worked for me on the way to the Grand Canyon last year when I clocked a huge bull elk at 70 mph in a rental. Personally, I think they should line every road with high fences to keep these menaces off the highways.

i punched a deer at 75 mph on i 5 will right next to a 18 wheeler. mazda mx 5, was so lucky didnt break windshield and i didnt get thrown into truck. next day saw deer feet up in center meridian. sorry bambi
