I have cloth seats with what I am guessing is vinyl sections on the edge of both seats. On the drivers side where I get in, the vinyl section is now has a tear in it, I was wondering if there was anything I could do to repair this. The tear is about the size of a half dollar at this point.

If you google it you can find repair kits in just about any price range. Amazon shows user reviews on a lot of them. Depending on how nice you want it to look you may also consider having it repaired professionally.

In my opinion duct tape is not an option. While duct tape may hold the universe together it's not for long..

Any topical repairs are temporary and will not last long due to its application and environment. Take to to a shop and have it professionally repaired, it's money well spent.
