Been looking up videos on this, I'm currently in the process of getting a 02 ford ranger. Practivally flawless paint job, black in color. However! It has some... 'interesing' to say the least, striping on it.

Does anyone have some products or recomendations for getting those out? Being in detailing... I'd prefer to do it myself. I don't want to take it to a paint shop, have them remove it, then try to rotary over the striping and swirl mark the finish to death so I have to fix it.

Is there a solution I can just spray on and peel off the decal? or scrape it off with a light plastic putty razor knife/blade?

Here's what I'm looking to remove, just the striping found here: (http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=48439085&listingRecNum=19&criteria=prMx%3D5000%26sf1Dir%3DDESC%26prMn%3D0%26 alMdId%3D21874%26mkId%3D20015%26stkTyp%3DU%26mdId% 3D21874%26rd%3D150%26crSrtFlds%3DstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId-pseudoPrice%26zc%3D45215%26rn%3D0%26PMmt%3D1-1-0%26stkTypId%3D28881%26sf2Dir%3DASC%26sf1Nm%3Dpric e%26sf2Nm%3Dmiles%26alMkId%3D20015%26rpp%3D50%26fe edSegId%3D28705&aff=national)

Heat with hair drier peel off the decal, a plastic razor blade might be needed. Then use 3M™ General Purpose Adhesive Remover to get the glue off. Wash the vehicle, polish and wax.
