I just got my first shipment of Lake Coubtry Pads. The pads have no identifying markings on them. The come in a sealed plastic bag with a 9 digit number on them (#xx-xxxx-xxxMM). How do I know if they are Lake Country?

Go to Lake Country section and check product codes if you feel you must. Here's a sample one:
Yellow Lake Country 5 1/2 Inch Flat Foam Pad - LC-75-5455SB-1

The plastic bags do not have LC on them, only a number in the format in my post above. The x's are all numbers. If it had LC on it, I wouldn't have posted. There are no markings on the pad.
I have been using Meguiars pads. I bought a Flex and wanted to try the Lake Country pads. All the Megs pads are identified as such on the pad.

LC does a lot of private labeling and is also one of the few pad mfrs.; this is standard labeling for them. It allows the seller to "brand" the pad, without LC making a special pad for them.

With no LC identification on the pad, what prevents any e-tailer from saying they're selling LC pads and actually shipping a Chinese knock off?
