Why don't you just shim the grit guard? Should hold it in place and save you from having a ton o buckets lying around

Already done it and it works well.

My bucket's just a tad shorter and I'll fill it with soap and water until the solution is 1/8" or so just covering the grit guard. Place the pad on the grit guard and start the speed on 2 or 3 and there's almost no spray at all.

Hold the pad inside a second bucket and let it spin dry, that's all there is too it.

Does it have all the bells and whistles of the commercial unit? No but you just can't beat the price and it works amazingly well! :props:

didnt Bobby from AG use a similar method if not almost exactly the same as this?

Good memory Andrew! I just posted a little about it.

The sides of mine are about an inch above the grit guard,

Brilliance only comes after buying 6 different buckets and then having one very nice forum member send me a set that worked perfectly. Then two days later I had a face palm moment and realized I coulda just shimmed em up.
