Hey guys,

I'll be getting a 7424 soon and have a significant amount of moderate swirls on my white diamond pearl TL. What suggestions can you all make on a swirl removal kit (ie. pinnacle vs optimum vs wolfgang vs mxt etc etc.). Thanks in advance.

My acura forum guys all suggested optimum, but seeing as how you all are "autogeeks", I was wondering what you personally feel are the best brands.

Thanks.

Turtle wax...........................................nooo ooot

XMT series is supose to be good, have not tryed it (yet) Have used the MG series from Meguiars and that works. The XMT series is "made" for the DA polisher, so I bought it just because everyone here at the forum seems to have one in their collection and no one have said any bad about it.

And welcome to AG F

thanks for the welcome. the local "driver's seat" recommended the pinnacle line, but i also noticed it was the most expensive kit and couldnt help but to think they were just trying to make their buck.

so, im torn on what kit to invest in for swirl removal...

I bought the Poorboy's kit before there was an XMT kit. It was on sale I think and a real good value. Been happy with it, but now, I would have a hard choice between it and XMT. Have not used XMT, but so many people on this forum love it.

I don't think you can go wrong with Poorboy's! It is good stuff.

Optimum is a GREAT polish. I like PB's and Meg's 80 series as well, but prefer Optimum for it's very long work time and no dust.

XMT, PB, Optimum are outstanding. More cutting power OC and PB SSR3. Most of the time XMT3 dose it for me.

There is a bit of a difference, I use 2 when I have the usually problems, go to 3 when the suv needs a lot of TLC. Nice to follow up with the carnauba finishing glaze.

Poorboy's SSR, or Pinnacle XMT. You cannot go wrong with any of these.

What's the condition of the paint of the vehicles you'll be using it on? If the paint is in good shape the XMT2/1 should do it. If it's in need of more love than you might want to try XMT3.

well, I'd rate it at moderate "swirlage". In the sun's reflection, you can see a wealth of swirls and spiderlines.
