MB CL500 paint/body Question

I have a friend on the way to my house for a paint evaluation on his Black CL500. I've seen the car before, it's pretty swirled-out. The problem is that I've never worked on a car like this, the entire body of the car is not metal, or at least a non-ferrous metal.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experiences or advice for dealing with this body type. Do I just treat it like I would plastic bumpers etc.?
