Hi. The interior of my daily driver has been very nicely detailed and it smells great, until I turn my heater on. I'm guessing there isn't much I can do about that, but I figured I'd ask and see if there's any way I can treat the duct work in the car so that the heated air doesn't stink so much?

I think this is what you're looking for:

Wurth A/C & Heating System Treatment (http://autogeek.net/wuachesytr.html)

I like the Einszett version better:

1Z Einszett Klima-Cleaner Air Conditioner Treatment (http://www.autogeek.net/1z-einszett-klima-cleaner-air-freshener.html)

Looks like I have a decision to make now.

I have used the Einszett and must say that it worked great. Also the odor never returned.

One quick suggestion. If you own a BMW, there are micro air cleaners in engine compartment. I found lots of organic material in mine when I was having a stink issue.

Make sure the air intact ports to your interior are clean of debris. It may help.

I have a crappy '98 4-door Honda Accord.

Can't say I've used that one... just the Wurth so far and it did a good job. Might have to give the 1Z stuff a shot sometime if I get something particularly nasty.

Be sure to change your cabin filter. Ozium or Lysol will work also. Another thing. Spray your cowl area (area around w/shield wipers/vents) liberaly

:iagree: IF you have cabin filters AND haven't changed them out for a time...to quote The Myth Busters, "Well, there's your problem." Those puppies can get really groddy.

Had many customers complain about this, they never knew there was even a filter, let alone change them out.
