Howdy! I've been lurking here for the past few days, trying to learn as much as I can. What started out as a hunt for a more durable wax for winter ended with me finding my way here, and having my eyes opened to a whole new realm of car care beyond the shelf of waxes at the local auto parts store. I look forward to learning a lot from everyone here :xyxthumbs:

Here's a picture of the beast I'm in charge of caring for. I'm hoping now I'll be able to find the right stuff to keep her looking good 24/7, instead of just on nice weekends :)

First, :welcome: aboard!!

Now, you have a gorgeous new truck but your handle is MrCrash! I hope this is not a premonition!

Keeping a truck in pristine condition is a favorite pastime of mine, here's a photo of my 1999 Dodge Dakota.

Yup, bought it new back then.

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

BobbyG, that's a beautiful Dakota! Looks like it's still fresh off the lot!

I think I jinxed myself in associating a forum name I use for other hobbies with an automotive site. Someone kissed the rear bumper while it was parked in my driveway the night after I posted this. No metal damage, so I got off lucky. I'll probably wait until spring to fix it since you have to look hard to see it.

On the bright side, I just bought a clay bar kit, and will be placing an order soon for a grit guard, some microfiber cloths, and some Collinite 845 soon. Should get the rest of the truck looking good!

If you like the shine on my Dakota it's from Collinite 845, you're going to love this wax! :props:
