Hi Guys,

What do you recommend from the following Waxes/ Sealants for MB headlight protection? and how?

1- Klasse AIO
2- Klasse Cleaner/ Protectant
3- Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
4- Optimum Car Wax
5- Collinite Marque D’Elegance Carnauba Paste Wax #915 - CO-915

Head lights are in excellent condition right now but the Winter is brutal here.

Thank you very much for your input

Personally using Diamondite Clear Plastic Liquid Armor which has been working great for me.

Diamondite® Clear Plastic Liquid Armor seals and protects clear plastic headlight lens covers. After polishing headlights, protect headlights with (http://www.autogeek.net/dia-plastic-liquid-armor.html)

There seems to be some warning as of late from dealers that a wax (likely cleaner waxes) might not be the best choice. I am not sure personally but use Plexus and paint sealants without issue. I am looking to the Diamonite Product listed above soon.

WGDGPS 3.0 from your list. I like the Liquid best on mine too.

I've used WG DGPS, but this summer started using WG Plastic Surface Sealant (thanks Corey). In between sealant applications I use DP Plex-All.

Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant forms a clear barrier over your plastic lenses to shield them from contamination and UV rays. (http://www.autogeek.net/plastik-surface-sealant.html)

DP Plex-All aerosol plastic cleaner,plastic polish,clear plastic cleaner polish,DP plastic polish,plastic protectant,headlight cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/dp-plex-all.html)

In March 2005 I installed X-Pel headlight protection film on the headlights of my 2005 Honda Accord. This seems to prevent the clouding/yellowing and also protects the headlights from chips/abrasions caused by flying debris so prevalent driving our highways.

Did you install X-Pel by your self or did you go to a shop?

I used Fuzion about a month ago on the car and headlights. My headlights turned yellowish within a couple of weeks which is something that I had never seen before. Maybe there was some type of chemical reaction with the polish that I used to clean them???? Since then, I cleared them again with a plastic polish.

I am very interested to learn how the Diamondite and Wolfgang plastic sealants compare from a durability standpoint. I don't think that the solvent based Spar urethane is available in SoCal, so I have to find an alternative option.

I use the Plastik Surface Sealant also, don't know if it does any good or not
