This video shows my first impression of the Optimum Hyper Compound that I ordered on September 15th.

Surely something is wrong with it.

Looks like it has broken down. I recently tossed a bottle of Meg's Ultimate Compound because it did the same exact thing. I have no idea what causes it either? I keep all of my supplies in my house where it's climate controlled so I know the weather has nothing to do with it, speaking on terms of storage. I would request an exchange if I were you.

Strange that it won't reconstitute after shaking; at least with all the Meg's stuff in my collection even if it does separate like that, it'll come back to life after some agitation.

I did call and left a message on Monday (my only day off during AG hours) with the problem and my phone number but got no return call. Left an after hours message with with online order support on Wednesday and no reply to that either and a post asking questions about it in the customer comments section, again no reply. Either there is a breakdown in communications or I am being ignored.

I will try to call again this week.

This bottle of Hyper compound looked like this coming out of the shipping container and there was no leakage inside the shipping container.

I knew as soon as I laid eyes on it that something was wrong with it.

Since there was no leakage inside the box, this tells me that this bottle went through the hands of a picker and a packer and no one noticed anything wrong with it..?

I am sorry to air this out on the forum but these kinds of problems don't go away when they are swept under the carpet and after 1 telephone message, 1 computer message and a post in the customer comments section I feel that I should have at the very least gotten PM or a call.

I have to say this is unusual for AG. So maybe the computer system crashed or something. end rant.

I had my PoliSeal separate and all the liquid on top (what poured first) was very thin like your video and after that it was thick clumps.

I had to shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake until it no longer sounded like liquid in the container. (reshook the two parts together to make a 'paste' again). Dr. G said it seems like the Mineral Spirits had flashed off but claimed it would still work as expected.

Did you twist the top off to see what it looks like?

Yes I took the top off and it appeared to have mold spots on top. I shook it for a total of like 5 minutes and turned it to the side and held the bottle up to a bright light to see that there was nothing on the bottom.

I have to believe that this would be a great product if I can get a good bottle of it. The whole reason I went with Optimum was to get away from this exact problem.

This doesn't really bode well for Optimum. I have also read other posts, in addition to Mindflux' above, about Poli-Seal doing the same thing (and I just ordered some).

Well I guess the search continues for me then. I think the answer for me will to buy the new spray version as it is already a liquid and supposedly doesn't dust at all.

I assure you nobody at AG is avoiding you. If you contact Meghan, Dwayne, Jason or even Matt I am sure it will be handled immediately. I am sending them an alert now also ....

The guys over at another store I deal with told me that this product that I am having this problem with has been discontinued and is being replaced by the spray version so I guess my questions have been answered sufficiently by them.

I figured that there was just a breakdown somewhere. Thanks for the reply. Now I am a happy AG customer again.:props:
