You can look into DP wheel glaze or the poorboys wheel sealant

Wheel Wax is my preference, however quality paint sealants work well also.

I've used waxes and sealants over the years. Sealants seem to attract less brake dust and hold up longer.

I would also look for something that can handle higher temps. DP and PB sealants have their advocates on the forum so you should be fine with either. I use CG Wheel Guard, just because the DP Wheel Glaze kit was on backorder last December. I understand that FK's high temperature wax would work. I think that I heard that Collinite insulator wax would work too.

If you already use a sealant for your paint, you should give it a shot. Just remember that when you use wheel cleaners, it probably will affect the durability of anything you put on your rims.

I agree. Full synthetic sealant is best for wheels. Avoid canauba, any natural wax, and anything with silicone. They get sticky when hot, attract brake dust, and will quickly wear off in the heat and water exposure that your wheels experience.

I mentioned in another posting today that I've had good experience with Rejex as a wheel sealant.

Collinite 845 works incredibly well on wheels. Believe me, I know. Last winter was brutal and it my wheels looked perfect when I finally got to wash the wheels real well in the spring.

And will the above suggestions work for aluminum or painted wheels? I have paint sealants (never heard of applying too wheels) but I haven't bought any products for wheels themselves. Thank you

Rejex!!! Do some research, it's well known for how well it works on wheels.

Never tried the PB but the DP Wheel Glaze (http://www.autogeek.net/dp-wheel-glaze.html) works really well.
