Hi FrikkiR,

Supernatural Machine Stick wax?
Typically you apply finishing waxes on the 3.0 to 4.0 speed setting. There's no need for high speed as you're not trying to remove defects you're only trying to spread a product out. Too slow of a speed and the pad will feel like it's lagging behind and you try to move the polisher along...

Lime Prime?
Lime Prime uses micro abrasives to abrade the paint to remove defects, anytime you're trying to remove defects, which means you're trying to remove a little paint you want to be on the 5.0 to 6.0 speed setting.

Lime Prime Lite?
Lime Prime Lite is a non-abrasive chemical cleaner and usually for products like this you don't want to be on the high speed setting but rather the 4.0 to 5.0 speed setting.

And if you're new to machine polishing using a DA Polisher watch these, especially the one on doing a Section Pass. Also, the linked to article goes over EVERYTHING involved with getting show car results using any DA Polisher and any chemical line and any pad line.

For the Lime Primes, Dodo told me to use a finishing type pad such as a Lake Country Gray pad or at most, a light polishing (no cut) pad. Both LP and LP Light are designed to be finishing polishes. You would use either LP or LP Light, but not both. Go with regular Lime Prime if you need some real abrasive paint correction, go with LP Light if you just want to remove old wax, lay down some nice glaze fillers, and prep the paint for new wax.

That sounds like sound advice.

One thing, for more cut you could use the Lime Prime with a polishing pad instead of a finishing pad.

and one quick question here.

if the lime prime is a polish , that can take away swirls and such.
but for more aggresive i can use like megs - ulimate compund or scratch x 2.0? before on more defect spots? (i ask of the meg products becouse i have them).

but will swirlX or colorX fit in that routen? may be like-

wash
clay
products - ultimate compound or scratchX 2.0?
polish - swirlX and colorX ?
polish - lime prime?
wax - supernatrual?

or am i overkilling it , and should just start with just the Dodo limeprime and supernatrualwax?
and then see if i have to use the other once?

sry for the newbie questions.. but people have to learn somehow =D

thanx mates

Yes, you can use the Meguair's product to remove defects... spend little time on this forum and do a little reading and you'll see they are used quite often for removing defects.

Overkilling it... :D

You want to do some testing, we call this a Test Spot, usually you would use the least aggressive product to get the job done, in fact I just posted a brand new article on that topic...

"Use the least aggressive product to get the job done" (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-expert-featuring-mike-phillips/28505-use-least-aggressive-product-get-job-done.html)

The Lime Prime is a light swirl remover from the description, that is what SwirlX and ScratchX are. The Ultimate Compound is actually a very aggressive compound.
