I was thinking about picking up a Carrand Deluxe Super Soft Car Wash Brush strictly for winter use.

Carrand Deluxe Super Soft Car Wash Brush, body brush, auto brush, car wash supplies (http://www.autogeek.net/car-wash-brush.html)

The description says it claims it is safe on paint.

Has anyone tried this?
Do you think it is safe on paint?

For fenders and wheels, yes, but not paint. Get a boars hair brush for your paint.:buffing:

I wouldn't use it on my paint.

I have that same brush, and it was great for a while. But like the others have said, it is definitely NOT for use on paint. It's great for wheels and wheel wells, maybe use it on a big plastic grille, but not on paint. Oh, and the rubber bumper that surrounds the plastic did not last very long on mine before it fell off.

so the consensus is that boars hair brushes would not scratch at all? i would think more people would use them because of time saved?

If you use common sense.
