Hi everyone! I am sure this question has been posted before but the search function didn't give me the answer I was looking for. We are 3/4 finished with our de-swirling step one process (Wolfgang 3.0). Everything seems to be working well and most the swirls are gone. After each section pass, we wipe off the polish (it is dry) and it looks fantastic! But, the car is covered in white powder! It's everywhere! I suppose it is the dried polish. It falls off the car if we blow on it. Is there any way to cut down on it? Do we have to rewash the car or just blow it down with the Metro? Are we using bad technique that is producing too much powder? We are using lots of clean MF towels and changing them frequently.

An ONR Wash after polishing and before waxing is recommended.:xyxthumbs:

This is normal just give the car a quick wash to make sure its free of any residue and apply the LSP of your chioce.

:iagree:I do the same and actually use the power washer too. The power washer gets all the dust and dried polish out of the crevices.

A good wash will help enormously.

Haven't seen any in process photos though!

If it were me... I would dust it off using a microfiber and spray detailer and go to the next step...

Re-washing takes a lot time and gets everything all wet again, as in water in all the cracks and crevises...

i agree with mike. but i use a metro vac to blow the crevices. great to see the gals detailing. my wife actually joined me yesterday and helped me take a clear bra off the front of her car. a first of many helpful moments i hope. dealers guy wanted $300 to take it off.

Great pictures! :xyxthumbs:

Don't ever feel bad about lifting a wet pad off a car while it's still spinning fast... I've done it and I think everyone does it once...

Once is all it takes to drive home the lesson of letting the pad slow down before lifting it off the surface...
