Hello,

Well I have some paint issues on one of my daily driven cars. It would be pretty neat if I was able to fix it, but it seems it might be to late since the clear coat is gone and I might need to take it to the body shop for repaint.

I do admit that I neglected the paint by not always getting it polished/waxed, but it usually got a wash every two weeks.

There are two spots this is occuring on my car and thats it.

If anyone has encourted anything like this any advice would be great

Thanks!

No. That's extreme clear coat failure. The only honest repair is to repaint.

Here's more pictures...

Exposure or over-exposure to the sun and the environment, lack of regular care over time.

Abusive detailer removing too much paint via buffing procedures leaving paint too thin...

You "could" polish out the white part so it isn't such an eyesore for the time being, until it goes to the paint shop. From the sound of it you have a few cars, by the look of it you don't care much for this particular one. If a repaint isn't realistic in the near future you may as well try to improve the looks with a simple polish, at least for the meantime. Just my two cents. :xyxthumbs:

^^ That's what I will probably do and try to make it less of an eye sore.

Thanks !
