Hey guys and gals,
I just picked up a vapor steamer. Looking for some advice on what not to use it on. I've heard on some leather such as the leather in the Ford King Ranches have problems with the steam. What should I avoid using it on? So far I'm loving this thing, and it's taking interior work to a new level for me. Thanks for the help folks. :props:

be careful of the coated plastics used on alot of imports, they use it on trim, switches, consoles etc..

IMO, I wont use steam

Wrap a MF towel around the attachment and it cleans leather, door panels and carpets nicely.

cant steaming finished leather remove the coating? heres a video where a guy steamed leather and sprayed it with 409 first...and the leather came out awesome but it doesnt really seem like it would be good for it..? i think the 409 had more to do with this but is this safe?

I would not use 409 on leather, I have had great success with a mf towel wrapped around one of my attachments. First car I tried it on was my 94 mark viii and it made the seats look new, used 4 star leather conditioner. That was 2 yrs ago and I have not had to steam since as I keep up with it. Just finished steaming the interior on a late 90's caddy deville.
