is that normal i use m205 and a megs yellow pad i clean it on the fly and before i do it i feel the pad and its warn, is this normal?

When the pad is rubbing against your paint there is friction, Friction causes heat. Yes, it's normal.

The heat builds up in the backing plate and the backing plate holds the heat better than the foam...

It's normal.

Just noticed mine today for the first time. It was warm. You're good.

My old yellow backing plate melted my pad in the middle. Seems like the new lc bp is ok.

I have found that certain backing plates hold the heat more than others. The new Lake Country backing plates are really good at not transfering the heat to the pads. My pads stay cooler when using them.
