Hey guys! My name is Chantale, Ive been eyeballing autogeek forums for about a year now and I finally decided to jump in the crowd. Im from Pittsburg KS, population about 16000, really close to joplin mo pop around 40000. Ive been researching and doing hands on for about 2 yrs now. Ive cleaned cars back in HS but auto detailing never came to mind back then. Im going to be starting my detailing business in about 2 weeks so Im really nervous.

I plan on going mobile for now, the reason why is I wont have to pay rent on a building. Id like to see how this takes off before I lease a building. There is an auto detailing shop in Pitt right now and it seems to stay pretty steady busy.

I plan on getting a trailer and rigging it up so I don't have to spend 4k on one =) So any help with that would come in handy.

I guess my question of the day to the big dogs is what the best products out there? Ive read that dimondite has some great products. My main concern would be leather cleaners and polishes. Thanks for your time. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Love to see Lurkers switch to active members! :dblthumb2:

Don't be nervous but do read a few of these articles before you start printing cars or any other new business tasks...

How to choose a name for your detailing business (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/tricks-tips-techniques/22283-how-choose-name-your-detailing-business.html)

And this brand new one...

Just to note, it's usually best to "Introduce Yourself" in an Introduction forum group to let everyone know you've officially crossed over from Lurker to Active Member. Maybe tell us little bit about yourself, where you live, what you drive or what projects you're working on etc.

Then if you have product or process questions, look through the different forum group categories and try to pick one that the topic matches your questions and then start a dedicated thread for your specific questions

Clicking the below link will take you to the list of different categories or groups of forums identified by their title.

Autogeek Online Forum Topical Groups (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/)

Or you can simply post your questions is the Detailing 101 forum which is a catch-all forum for any kind of question.

Auto Detailing 101 (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/)

If everyone who joins posts their questions to the "Introduce Yourself" forum group then we could get rid of all the other groups and just have one group called,

Introductions and Everything Else.

This is in no way intended to be hard any of our new members, I'm just sharing how a discussion forum works. Autogeek is in this for the long run and it helps to have some kind of order or method to the madness as it relates to keeping this forum organized.

So introduce yourself in this forum and post your questions to either Detailing 101 or one of the topic specific forum groups.

Thank you!
