Hello Mike, AG and other members. Will this kit - Diamondite® Glass Repair System Kit polishes out scratches in auto glass windshields and windows. Diamondite Glass polish restore car glass. (http://www.autogeek.net/glass-repair-kit.html) help me polish out scratches on glass? It's easier to to gauge through a quantitative approach, so let's say in grits; will it remove 2000 grit of scratches?

I'm not sure if you're allowed to make comments about competing products, but i just wanted to ask if anyone has tried Annihilator windshield repair tool by Glass Pro Systems. Thanks. :)

Tried the diamondite glass resurfacing creme and 4" leveling disc using a portercable xp on the windshield of a 09 honda fit/Jazz and the pc wobbled violently on speed 4 & 5. It seems the slight curve of the windshield somehow affected the behavior of the PC so I did not continue coz i might instill some scratches on the glass.

Will try on a different car if I still see the same issue.

Thanks for the input, dude. It's kind of normal for small pads to wobble especially on convex shaped panels. How about its' performance? Did it improve the glass' surface? Thanks in advance. :)

As for the scratch i did not remove it. Tried the Lake Country 5.5. glass polishing pad on the entire windshield and glass resurf creme and I got great results. The glass is noticeably clearer at night and when its raining hard.

If I use a rotary with the 4" glass cutting pads will it lessen the wobbling that I encounter when I use the PCXP?

Hmm...so this isn't probably gonna solve my windshield scratch problem, lol. Thanks bro, appreciate your feedback.

Yes, it will lessen the wobbling since it will only rotate. You can use either a drill or a rotary. But still if you fail to keep it flat,it will still wobble but not as much as when using a DA. :)

From what I have found is...... that if you run your finger nail over the scratch and feel it it's to deep to polish out. The small deep scratches are almost impossible to remove...on the other hand the light hazy rub marks are workable even if you can feel them. It depends on what kind of scratch your talking about. I have never tried the Diamondite® Glass Repair System Kit (http://www.autogeek.net/glass-repair-kit.html) but have tried Rare Earth and buffer wheel and it will take some of the miner scratches/ rubs / wiper marks out with some time....and shine or polish the deep ones up so their not so noticeable. I think a rotary tool and stiffer pad is necessary.

I tried both wool and a heavy cutting pad. It just wasn't budging lol. Thanks for the insight,Mike Burke. :)

Mike Phillips any thoughts? I guess you can tell about how much damage the kit can handle. Many thanks.
