Something that I have been wondering is if you put a wheel sealant on your wheels then what is the best was to maintain it afterwards without stripping the sealant afterward. Do you just clean with regular car shampoo or what.

You got it :xyxthumbs: After the wheels are sealed and tires dressed just use regular car wash until they start to wear off. I usually clean with wheel and tire cleaner and reseal about every 4-6 weeks.

I agree. I have been using the Poorboy's Wheel Sealant (http://www.autogeek.net/pbws.html). After applying I can usually just clean the wheels with soap and water or an APC (http://www.autogeek.net/pbapc32.html) of 50:50 if it is really dirty.

I've been using Collinite 845 on my wheels and it seems to be doing a decent job just as it does on my cars finish. I wonder what the difference in protection would be using a dedicated wheel sealant?

I've been using DP wheel glaze for about a year. I just tried PB wheel sealant on 3 wheels and used Ultima T&TG on the other wheel and the tires. The PB wheel sealant comes off alot easier then the wheel glaze and the Ultima is super easy to apply on the rims and feels the slickest of the 3.
