This Dodge Intrepid received a full interior and exterior detail as well as headlight and wheel restoration. I focused mainly on the headlight and wheel restoration process. Here are a few before and after interior and exterior pictures.

The exterior received a high pressure foam presoak using two ounces of Optimum Power Clean and one ounce of DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss. The paint and glass were clayed using Wolfgang Poly Clay and DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss was used for clay lube. http://vermonsteretail.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/dodge-intrepid-1-large2.jpg

The wheels have suffered through many harsh new England winters and were left lifeless and dull.

Optimum Power Clean was applied and agitated with a Daytona Speed Master brush to clean the wheels barrels. Then a boars hair bristle brush was used to clean the face of the rims and around the lug nuts. After the Optimum Power Clean was rinsed off, the rims were clayed using Wolfgang Poly Clay and DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss was used for clay lube.

After rinsing off the clay lube and drying the wheels, I proceeded to polish them using Eagle Never Dull metal polish. After the excess polish had been removed, the wheels were rinsed for a final time and two coats of Poor Boy’s Wheel Sealant were applied.

The headlights had years worth of ultra violet sun damage and imperfections from road debris. A 3M headlight restoration kit was used with a power drill. After completing all the restoration kit steps, 3M plastic polish was applied with a Lake Country 4 inch white buffing pad using a Porter Cable 7424 Xp. To keep the headlights protected and looking rejuvenated, Klasse all In One Polish was applied to prepare the surface for 2 coats of Klasse High Gloss Sealant.

The exterior was washed with DP Xtreme Foam Formula Auto Shampoo using the 2 bucket method with each bucket equipped with a Grit Guard. Since the Intrepid is a daily driver and kept outside, I used Collinite 845 Insulator wax which offers months of lasting protection.

Great job on that Intrepid, I used to live in the Killington VT area and work as a Bumper painter in Burlington at all the dealerships. Switched over to Detailing and now have our own business. Cool to know there's a Detailer near our home town area.
