are needed to remove polish such as Mezerna SIP, Nano, or 85RD for a normal size car? I assume it's not like wax where I can just use one and periodically shake it out.

Do you change to a new towel on each section like you do with the pads?

Any recommendations on which microfiber towels will work best?

New towel on every panel. I like the white/indigo Cobra towels for removing polish.

I use about 3 towels per buffing stage. The finer the polish, the softer the microfiber.

are the towels that advanced auto parts sell any good to use?

If you are insistent or need to purchase towels locally, I highly suggest visiting Target and look at the Vroom brand. They offer a 4 pack in striped design for around 7.00 that seem to work well and dont scratch. Of course, I prefer Cobra towels when possible.

I would suggest a minimum of 4 per polishing stage and likely around 6. Especially if you prefer one per hand while buffing or can find a friend to help. :props:
