VW paint hardness?

Did my buddies GTI a few months back and it didn't seem to hard. Not nearly as hard as a Corvette!

Hey Z, roll your sleeves up, VW Jetta has a very, very hard coat. like a Benz and BMW......bought my wife a Jetta 6 months ago, needed allot of paint correction, used Purple wool foam pad then Orange LC pad down to White LC Pad and finally with 85rd used gray.......but man even though ours is Silver,,,,the car looks awesome !!! very deep gloss to it !

Don't know about earlier models but I did my daughter's new 2011 Jetta recently. Menzerna Super Finish did nothing on the hard paint. Power Finish did work, although I had to hit the car twice in some spots - Orange HT Pads on a Griot's. Here's a couple of pics of the finished car:

SIP was the best of what I tried, not good enough for my tastes. I'll have to give Powergloss a try next time.
