View Full Version : Window Trim Stained
I recently let a "quikie" car wash clean my 03 Tahoe. I noticed after a couple of days that the window trim on the passenger window was stained by some chemical they used. It is a stain as if an oily substance had been applied to it. This is the hard rubber on the bottom of the window. What is recommended to remove the stain? I have washed the car twice since then and the stain is still there!

Assuming this is a hard smooth surface, try a paint cleaner.

You could try some APC and a toothbrush then follow up with some trim restorer.

PB trim restorer works wonders!
I have tried PB trim restorer- works great to cover the stain but returns once it rains or you wash it. I think the APC may be the ticket!

Had this problem on my XLR. DP Cleanse ALL on an MF on my finger for a long time back & forth did the trick for me. Ultima TTG works better than PBTR IME! Mine has been fine ever since. Mine were dull gray and are now black.
