Black infiniti , soft paint

3 years old infiniti , full of everything u want, haze,light holograms , swirls
12 hours work for exterior , interior.
i will go over the exterior in this post.
the car is daily driver and garage outside. is no way perfection in this equation.
as some of you may know , to bring the black infiniti into a nice finish is a chellenge sometimes , because the soft paint they have.
correction process:
- optimum hyper polish spray on flex DA with polish pad
- 3m ultrafina on flex DA with blue 3m pad
- optimum car wax as protection
after each Hps and ultrafina was ipa wipe down and when finish before lsp was dawn wash to remove oils left and the car was inspected in the sun.

Very nice. Although I love OCW I don't think it's a very durable lsp. I use it as a booster after a wash. Since the owner obviously doesn't take care of the car...I would have thought a sealant (BlackFire, Menzerna) would have been a better choice. Or maybe 845. I'm not trying to cut you down on your choice of lsp as you did a terrific job in the prep. Just hate to see all that hard work down the drain in a month.

Hi Cosmin,

Do you know if this has the self-healing paint? "Some" black 2007 4-door models came with it. The Infiniti website says this paint has been discontinued and my guess is because the market place gave it a big thumbs down.

Infiniti released a statement saying that paint is coming back on some models next year. That just sucks!!!

Maybe they learned a few things and improved ?

Lets hope so... at least for the sake of the people that will buy one of these cars...

under the hood it said on a sticker: " hard clear coat" , but i know from before the infinity has a soft paint and only with less aggressive polish u get that right. last time i did 205 2 steps with G110 and it work.
on this infiniti the demage was more than i did last time so i try more products.
optimum hyper polish did good but couldn`t finish on soft paint. plus some ipa wipe down was necessary or a damp towel with ipa.
i like Flex DA , but 2 steps with it and done on black , next day i was ko , i did some light interior and went to rest for the next black car schedule.
as far as does a good job i am happy with flex da , i got few cars done and i am getting use with it.
