Seeing if anyone has a suggestion for a precleaner I can use at the car wash just before I spray off the car to get the heavy grit and grime off. I have tried several different car washes and to no avail I can't find one that uses a really good soap that will wash all the rain residue off. I found a precleaner in the UK that is called Valet Pro Orange which is exactly what I am looking for but the shipping costs would be 7 times the cost of the product. I am looking for something I can spray on like through a garden sprayer or spray bottle. Any suggestions?

Welcome to AGO! :welcome:

My guess is you want something like P21S Total Auto Wash (http://www.autogeek.net/p2totautwas.html).

Poorboy's Bug Squash works well for that.

Poorboy's Bug Squash works well for that.

Either of these will work well. I have good success with Megs APC+ at 10:1 but am looking to replace it as I don't know how safe it is on paint.

If you want to try something that you can buy locally try Surf City Garage Road Grime Destroyer.

I bought a bottle at my local Pep Boys and it worked great for getting the tar and crud out of wheelwells and the strings of tar and goo off of the lower body panels.
