Hey guys. I used to post on here all the time about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago. Used to do some professional detailing during the summer. I don't do it for money (much) anymore, but once a detailer, always a detailer. I still love doing it and enjoy it.

This is my cousin's new Camaro. 2010 RS, with 5K miles. Condition was not bad for being new, there was light swirling already from the dealership and his own washing inexperience.

Washed with DG car wash and the Shmitt. Megs Wheel Brightener 4:1 and Purple Power 1:1 used on the tires/wheels/wheel wells. Megs Body Solvent on the front bumper, rocker panels, and mirrors.

Tires got Adams VRT dressing gel. Wheels got DP Wheel Glaze. Wheel Wells with Armor All Foam. Front window polished with PC7424 and Klasse AIO. Followed by Rain-X 2 and 1 cleaner. Rest of the windows got Stoner's Invisible Glass.

Headlights and Taillights for DP's PlexAll.

Black Plastic Trim got DP's MaxWax.

Body got Pinnacle clay bar with Poorboy's spray and wipe on the hood/fenders/roof/trunk.
Menzerna PO106FF with Lake County orange pad at speed 5 - 6 on the entire car for polishing. Followed with a water/alcohol spray wipedown. Used some Pinnacle Paint Cleaning Lotion on the doors as well.

Wax was none other than Pinnacle Souveran Paste applied by Red Lake County CC Pad. My cousin buffed immediately after applying.

Some sections recieved Pinnacle Souveran Spray to help wipe off any extra residue.

Enjoy!

No micro-marring from the orange pad?

Looks good!

Nope none at all, I don't find the orange that rough. Just condition it well and make sure it's lubed up with polish.

Every paint system will react uniquely to the pad, product and tool used on it. The light orange foam cutting pad is quite a bit more aggressive than a white polishing pad or other polishing pads by other companies than Lake Country but the OP is right in that if you condition it first, (this moistens and thus softens the foam itself), and then use plenty of product for good lubrication and on some paint systems you won't see any micro-marring or hazing.

Me personally I always do a "Test Spot" and inspect the results before polishing out an entire car which is outlined, explained and demonstrated here (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-car-garage-how-videos/23700-show-car-garage-video-how-remove-swirls-scratches-water-spots-using-pc-7424xp-meguiar-s-g110v2-griot-s-garage-random-orbital-polisher.html).

P0106FA is a finishing polish with excellent lubricity and a long buffing cycle or as I like to call it, a long "play time". You can't help but get great results from this product used accordingly.

I used the Wolfgang Twins on a 2010 black Camaro with a Porter Cable 7424XP and the results were show car quality and LSP ready...

Car looks great, and I actually like that color-scheme a lot more than I thought I would! Great work on a great looking car.

With Menzerna Polishes I'm able to finish it down pretty well on an orange pad as well without noticeable micro-marring.

I used to have a picture I took of a Sanger V-Drive Drag boat that raced in my class, (100 to 110 class), but can't find it any longer... it was the coolest looking Drag Boat I've ever seen, it was black with a green and silver flame job. It had a very rare dual overhead cam Ford 427 engine and on the back transom it said,

"The B**** is Back"

It would look awesome behind this car being towed to the races. Did I mention it was fast too?

Something about the combo of black and green and black and orange that just screams race ready...
